This week went quickly. On Sunday, we decided we would go to the zoo. Unfortunately for us, the line was extremely long… especially for a Sunday. It didn’t help that it was hardly moving. We decided to opt for getting a caricature done instead at a stand set up right outside of the entrance. It turned out quite nice!
Even though my daughter was initially a bit disappointed about us not being able to go into the zoo, she soon recovered after biting into some of her favourite snacks. She was very excited to see what our caricature would look like. It turned out awesome!
Inspired by such a good day, my daughter dabbled into her own little art project this week. It turned out pretty cool. There was red, yellow, blue, pink, orange, and white paint all over the newspaper, and her! I am going to take our caricature and the painting she created with us. This way she will have a little piece of home to take along with her.

I am still getting some of the items on my to-do list done. Each day, we are closer to taking the next step on our journey to the UAE. There are still many things to do but for now, we are focusing on our priorities. At the top of that list is our family. We’ll keep taking it one day at a time, and before you know it, all the tasks will be complete.
