Parents of students in Dubai private schools, there’s some great news for you! You’ll now receive customized summary reports highlighting the key findings from your child’s school inspection results.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) developed these summary reports to give you an easy-to-understand snapshot of various aspects of school quality. You’ll find insights on teaching quality, wellbeing provision, evaluations of key subjects, strengths, areas for improvement, and more.

Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of KHDA, shared that the new Parent Summary reports aim to address the diverse needs and expectations of parents in Dubai. With these reports, you’ll have access to reliable information about every private school in the city, making it easier to choose or compare the best schools for your children.

For the first time, schools are also being rated on their wellbeing provisions. Initial evaluations indicate that 74% of schools provide high or very high levels of wellbeing provision, and more than 80% of Dubai schools ensure their students feel consistently positive about their time in school.

Fatma Belrehif, CEO of Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau, emphasized the strong correlation between student wellbeing and academic achievement. She expressed her satisfaction with the high wellbeing levels across Dubai schools and encouraged school leaders to keep using data to evaluate and improve their wellbeing provisions.

During the 2022-23 academic year, a total of 199 Dubai private schools were inspected. According to data released in April, 77% of students attend schools rated Good or better. Six schools were inspected for the first time this year, and 25 schools improved their rating since the last full inspection cycle.
