What/Who helped you most:

“The person in my life who has been my “Rock” of support and who has been with me daily as I fight breast cancer again is my husband Ahmed Fayed. He was with me when I was informed about my breast cancer reoccurrence and he has never left my side. The power of prayer and faith, has also kept us grounded.”

What/Who inspires you:

“I get inspiration from my mother Mary Helen Gray Florence from Texarkana, Texas. She is my warrior in pink and my pink angel. She battled breast cancer for 10 years and was the ultimate DIVA through all of the treatments, surgeries, and doctor’s visit. She trusted in her spirituality and faith system and never gave up.   She lost her battle with breast cancer in November 2012, but I feel her presence with me at every doctor’s appointment and surgery.”

Words of advice or encouragement:

“Know your body and if you feel anything that is out of the ordinary, see a medical doctor as soon as possible. Early detection has saved my life twice. I thought of chemotherapy in the sense of my body getting updated to a newer version. It is important to surround yourself with positive people and find hobbies that make you happy. Join support groups and embrace your spirituality.”
