The Middle East School Leadership Conference (MESLC) 2025 concluded successfully, having brought together distinguished educators and school leaders from across the region and beyond under the theme “Leading Forward: Building a Leadership Legacy”.
The conference featured an impressive line-up of speakers, including Evelyn Forde MBE, who delivered a heartfelt keynote address, and Robert Coe, who emphasised the paramount importance of quality teaching. Claire Gadsby and other notable speakers provided valuable insights into various aspects of educational leadership.
A highlight of the conference was the focus on authentic leadership and inclusion, with a powerful panel that featured Kausor Amin-Ali FRSA FCCT, Joanna Povall, and Dr Emanuel Vincent, who addressed the importance of giving voice to the voiceless in education. The conference also showcased real-world implementation of educational strategies, including a presentation on transformative coaching practices at Deira International School by Julie Keyes and Simon O’Connor FCCT.
School culture development was a key theme, with experts Rebecca Coulter, Matt Lecuyer, Justin Reynolds Ed.D., and Dr Suleiman Hamdan sharing insights on building lasting school cultures. The conference also featured sessions on career progression and future pathways in education leadership, with valuable contributions from Debra Forsyth, Bill Turner, and Dr Helen Wright.

Building on this year’s success, MESLC has announced its next conference, scheduled for January 28-29, 2026, under the theme “Transformational Leadership: Leading Schools for Global Impact”. The 2026 event promises to continue the tradition of bringing together innovative educational leaders to shape the future of education in the region and beyond.
