Preparing tomorrow’s adults, today.

Kings’ School Al Barsha will open its doors to Sixth Form students from September 2017. The aim is to provide a complete educational experience, meaning that students leave as academically successful, well-rounded and mature young adults, ready for whatever the future may hold.

Kings’ Sixth Form will offer an impressive selection of A Level Qualifications covering a broad range of subjects. This, coupled with state of the art facilities, including a sector-leading auditorium and unrivalled technological and sports provision facilitate a number of subjects that prepare students for the future workplace. Subjects such as Product Design, Music Technology, Physical Education and Theatre Studies are complemented by more traditional studies, as well as those subjects that remain in high demand such as, Business and Economics.

Kings’ differs from a conventional school as it sets out to merge academic excellence with outstanding levels of pastoral support. Small class sizes allow time and support for in depth education, along with one to one mentoring and guidance.

As a natural extension of Kings’ core learning behaviours, a unique and bespoke Kings’ Diploma will be offered. This serves as a complementary suite of qualifications, which will ensure students are able to win competitive places at top universities around the world, as well as continue to develop essential skills for life, work and learning. Taken alongside A Level Studies, the diploma will involve several wider academic awards, including the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), Duke of Edinburgh Award (to Gold Level), work experience via top Dubai-based business placements, charity work, community support and leadership challenges & qualifications.

“Kings’ is one of Dubai’s foremost centres of academic excellence. Our new and dynamic Sixth Form offers an exciting, stimulating and challenging environment for learning, which will ensure our students excel in intellectual enquiry, debate and search for explanation well beyond their A Level curriculum,” states Alan Williamson, Director of Education, Kings’.

“We are immensely proud to extend our learning programmes beyond GCSE. Our students will enhance their intellectual, personal and social development by taking full advantage of the fantastic opportunities provided at Kings’. We are confident that our students will go on to win places at top universities worldwide. We are privileged to be preparing tomorrow’s adults, today,” adds Rebecca Coulter, Head of Kings’ Sixth Form.
