H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and President of Abu Dhabi University’s (ADU) Board of Regents, has awarded 20 scholarships to the top scoring high school male and female students from grade-12 in recognition of their outstanding academic performance during the academic year 2014 -2015.
The scholarships allow the students to enroll in any of Abu Dhabi University’s diverse undergraduate programmes offered on both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses and cover all university tuition and fees, in addition to English language training fees, for a maximum of four years.
Commenting on this initiative, Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of ADU’s Executive Board, underlined the importance of the scholarships H.H. Sheikh Hamdan has been generously awarding to top scoring high school students since 2009.
He said Abu Dhabi University takes great interest in attracting outstanding students to its 31 bachelor’s and 17 master’s programmes at the two campuses in addition to a PhD programme in business administration.
The outstanding students, Al Dhaheri said, will contribute to national development and meet the requirements of the Policy Agenda of the Government of Abu Dhabi and its Economic Vision 2030.
