Abu Dhabi and the region gear up for the 2015 edition of the leading disabilities support platform, with strong endorsement from government bodies, healthcare organisations, educational institutions and leading national players

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Honorary President of the Future Centre for Special Needs in Abu Dhabi, ABILITIESme, the Middle East’s leading disabilities support platform, returns in 2015 to the UAE capital in its second edition, to further raise awareness and boost empowerment of people with special needs in the country and the region.

Commenting on the event, and ensuring his presence to inaugurate the 2015 ABILITIESme Show, His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan said: “One of our society’s key challenges is to transform its views towards people with disabilities from stereotyped “disabled individuals” to “individuals with their own abilities”, and this is why I support ABILITIESme.”

“For the second year, ABILITIESme embodies the spirit of an all-inclusive society, recognising disabled people’s right to be different and to live their life in a way which meets their particular needs without prejudice.

Our support goes hand in hand with the UAE Government’s unlimited dedication to recognise everyone’s equal rights and to facilitate full enjoyment of this right through their inclusion and participation in building a better community”, added His Excellency.
