Genetec’s Regional Director – Middle East and Africa, Mr Firas Jadalla announces new subscription model for Genetec’s flagship security platform, Security Center

When it comes to security software, there are a handful of companies that standout for their innovative approach in using new technologies to provide clients with the best security solutions on the market. Genetec Inc. is at the top of that list.

Genetec is a global provider of IP video surveillance, access control and license plate recognition solutions in a unified platform called Security Center.

On May 17, 2016, Genetec’s Regional Director – Middle East and Africa, Mr Firas Jadalla announced the new subscription model for Genetec’s flagship security platform, Security Center.

The announcement was made in the presence Mr Andrew Elvish, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management and other top executives from Genetec Inc.

This included the unveiling of the Security Center Subscription and brought attention to other packages such as Compact and Security Center Cloud that offer varying levels of security features at quite reasonable prices.

“Genetec is leading the way in the physical security industry by offering customers an alternative ownership option for our successful video surveillance platform,” Mr Elvish pointed out, “not only will customers enjoy the same fully-featured version of Security Center, but they will do so with lower upfront expenditures, predicable recurring costs, and access to the latest release and Genetec support resources at no extra cost.”

Over the past fifteen years, Genetec has developed meaningful partnerships to help provide safer and more secure environments for small to medium sized and enterprise class businesses in over 80 countries.

In a very detailed presentation, Mr Elvish elaborated on the company’s role as a leading provider of open-architecture, unified IP security solutions. He noted that Genetec is keen on forging even more partnerships with the education sector in the UAE and the region.

“We are very excited to engage with the education sector here in the UAE and the Middle East, as schools are becoming more aware of the need to have robust security systems in place. The best type of campus security should be invisible but effective,” stated Mr Elvish.

Mr Elvish also shared a number of insightful tips on cyber security and privacy and the functionality of wireless locks in dormitories. He pointed out, via research statistics, that 97% of organisations suffer some kind of cyber attack and that 3/4 of these attacks gained active control of those security systems. Of note, 22% of most cyber attacks usually take place from within these organisations.

Genetec Inc. has been in the Middle East since 2003. Their roster of clients includes a number of government entities and private businesses in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and other parts of the region.
