­6,958 students from GEMS Education schools in the UAE set Guinness World RecordSTM title for the 44th anniversary of UAE’s National Day

To pay tribute to the UAE on the 44th National Day, 6,958 GEMS Education students from 35 schools across the country came together to wish everyone a ‘Happy National Day’ by forming the ‘World’s Largest Human Sentence’.

Validated by Guinness World Records officials, the students gathered together on the sports field of GEMS Modern Academy in Dubai, to form the human sentence as teachers guided them to their positions.

Dino Varkey, Group Executive Director and Board Member, GEMS Education, said: “The UAE National Day commemorates the historic union of the seven emirates. It is indeed the perfect time to celebrate the great achievements of the nation under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

“We want to thank our parents, teachers, students and the authorities for their support and enthusiasm in creating such a memorable occasion.”

The previous record of 6,262 people was set by the Tiens Group of China on 8 May, 2015.
