Join us for an afternoon of discovery at the beautiful Raddison Blu Waterfront Dubai on 25th of February to share real-life learnings in the field of education. What makes our program unique, is that it is specifically curated to focus on tailoring the Finnish education solutions to work in the local UAE context.
The afternoon will start by a welcome from H.E. Riitta Swan, Ambassador of Finland to the UAE. The keynotes will be given by Mr Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General at the Finnish National Agency for Education and Mr Mishal Kanoo, Chairman of the Kanoo Group. Mr Olli-Pekka Heinonen’s keynote will focus on leadership of learning in the time of change.
The first panel will focus on phenomena-based learning across all educational stages, after which the program will continue in two different streams: K12 and Early Childhood Education. The K12 stream gives you the possibility to discover topics such as how to engage students with gamification, teaching moral education the Finnish way, making an impact with digitalization and even join a discussion about entrepreneurship in education!
In the Early Childhood stream, you will hear about the importance of early childhood education and how following the child’s development helps to understand the child’s needs and strengths. You can also discover science teaching through play-based learning and how technology can enhance creativity.
The event will finish with a Nordic Sundowner arranged with the Finnish Business Council UAE. We look forward to seeing you at our event and discover Finnish education together!
