‘Longer story’
Kings’ Education is delighted to announce the eighth consecutive ‘Outstanding’ KHDA inspection report for Kings’ School Dubai. Kings’ is the only school in Dubai that has achieved outstanding over eight years, consistently delivering excellence in education.
Principal Alison Turner says that the clarity of its vision for children’s learning is the basis of its success. It has developed an innovative, concept-based curriculum which is re-written annually in order to be personalised, relevant and meet the needs of children for the new academic year.
However, It has only been by finding and nurturing exceptional teachers and leaders that this vision continues to be made a reality. Kings’ schools believe that only happy teachers teach fantastic lessons. They take the well-being and development of their staff very seriously, and actively promote an emotionally intelligent workplace.
Kings’ are in the 12th year of success under the guidance of Mr Kevin Stedman, the Chief Education Officer who took Kings’ School Dubai from inception to current day. Mr Stedman, is moving on to an advisory role with Kings’ at the end of the month. Leadership remains strong with Mr Bede Higgins, who has completed two successful years of Deputy Headship at Kings’ School Dubai, taking over from Principal Alison Turner who is departing after five successful years at the school. Essential to this on going successful story is engagement with parents and our sister Kings’ Schools. The Kings’ schools work closely together in developing a single vision in what they describe as ‘one family, three schools’. There is a high level of expectation of, and support for, Kings’ parents in engaging with their children’s learning.
Kings’ School Dubai is a very ambitious and personal place, where individuals, whether parents, teachers, children or support staff, are valued and developed to ‘do the best by every child’.
