Tell us a bit about your diagnosis:
“I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer on March 7, 2008 at 4:45pm. It was a Friday. I am grateful for the detox I decided to take to get my health in order. I went through several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, followed by five years of Tamoxifen.”
What or who inspired you after your diagnosis:
“My inspiration came from my faith. The day on which I was diagnosed and the days that followed were very difficult for me. Each day when I pause to reflect on my journey, I am constantly reminded of God’s grace. I challenge myself to grow and learn in new ways every day.”
Words of advice or encouragement:
“I often tell others that may have fallen ill to any disease or sickness to rest their bodies. I learned after 2012 that resting actually aids in the healing of the body.”
