Cambridge High School Maker Day… A celebration of creativity and innovation 

Cambridge High School (CHS) celebrated their Maker Day on February 29, 2016.  The event showcased students’ creativity and innovative ideas. According to Dr Frithi Herbert, Director of Innovations at CHS, there was a total of 85 participants from various categories.

“The Maker Day is the celebration of innovation and creativity, which includes exhibits, designs and creative concepts that aim to improve the community or the world at large through shared learning. We had interactive exhibits that ranged from personally designed apps, video games, robotics, creative crafts, green solution, invention, new technology and more,” said Dr. Herbert.

The Cambridge High School Maker Day was a collaborative effort of the school’s innovation team, students and the senior leadership team with the support of the school’s Principal, Mr Jason King and Vice Principal, Mr.Riaan Huyser.
