Can you say boxes?
There are so many of them right now, that our house is totally overrun with them. Just when we think that we packed almost everything, something else pops up. Occasionally, my daughter tries to help and while it is cute, I realise that some of the things that we packed are pulled apart and thrown everywhere. Got to love her!
In my last post, I wrote about the documents that we sent to the Secretary of State to get authenticated. Well … the documents were returned to us.
Why, you might ask?
We forgot to write the country where the documents would be presented. Needless to say, this minor (yet somehow major) oversight on our part has set us back a week or so. We will be sending the documents again and will once more pay the express fee of USD$39.99 for it to be sent overnight and mailed back to us in the same manner. Something for you guys to think about if you are about to send your papers off to get them authenticated. Make a checklist and ensure that ALL the items on it are ticked. I am going to make sure that we complete the forms accurately this time!
On a brighter note, I had an awesome Mother’s Day! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as well. Preparing to leave has truly reminded me of the importance of spending time with my family. I will miss them so much!
Oh well, it’s time to get back to the task at hand… more packing and putting away the things I will need in boxes for me.
