EmSAT preparation classes will be conducted by effective UAEU and HCT faculty in partnership with ADEC
The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) in partnership with the UAE University (UAEU) and Higher Colleagues of Technology (HCT), will be providing an EmSAT English preparation course for 2,400 Grade 12 students with focus on reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar.
In his support for the initiative, His Excellency Dr. Ali Al Nuaimi, ADEC’s Director General, visited the first batch of students taking part in the EmSAT English preparation course in HCT, where he witnessed the type of training received.
The EmSAT preparation classes will be conducted three times on the UAEU and HCT campus in efforts to expose students to a college environment, while motivating them to look forward to effective teaching and learning techniques.
The initiative is part of ADEC’s eagerness to help equip and expose students with some of the world’s best teaching and learning methods, while preparing them for university and a productive career path, one that the education council aspires and looks forward to.
The three EmSAT preparation sessions will run from February 27th to March 2nd 2017, followed by a second session from March 6th to March 9th 2017, while the third one will run from April 10th to April 13th 2017.
The Grade 12 students will be offered 14 hours of training including a mock examination sitting.
Amongst the 2,400 Grade 12 students, 1,500 ADEC students will attend the EmSAT preparation classes from Abu Dhabi, 600 from Al Ain, 150 from Madinat Zayed and another 150 from Ruwais. It is expected however, that more students will take part in the same program; priority will be given depending on actual EMSAT booked appointments by the individual student via the National Admissions and Placement Office (NAPO).
Each EmSAT preparation class for the ADEC students will consist of 25 students per section. Each individual student’s attendance will be noted and a satisfaction survey will be available once the students undergo their EmSAT preparation classes.
