The Abu Dhabi Education Council launched a new smartphone application “ADEC Services” which enables members of the public and users to access ADEC services provided to customers.
The announcement was made today at the GITEX Technology Week 2016, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre during 16th to 20th October 2016. ADEC is showcasing “ADEC Services” in a dedicated ADEC booth located at the Abu Dhabi e-government pavilion.
This application provides several services to students, parents, ADEC HQ employees, Abu Dhabi school-based and regional staff offices, as well as the public.
Dr. Ali Al-Nuiami, ADEC’s Director General said: “ADEC seeks to continuously update the technological aspects and adopt the best ways that allow smooth and easy interaction with public, strategic partners, while enhancing communication with external environment both within and outside the UAE.”
H.E. added that ADEC strives to follow-up and keep pace with the fast-changing digital age especially since there are great leaps in information technology and social networking.
ADEC’s DG pointed out that ADEC schools are equipped with a strong technology infrastructure that provides schools with wired and wireless high speed internet that supports modern pedagogies, applications and technological initiatives launched to promote education. He added that ADEC offers various smart services to manage relationships between ADEC and school-based staff as well as students and parents.
Additionally, ADEC’s application helps enhance the user experience through offering an innovative and easy-to-use interface for various services. Moreover, ADEC provides various channels that facilitate immediate access to these services anywhere and anytime.
This application makes it easier for users to access ADEC’s various services through the different types of mobile phones, tablets and computers. There are more than 50 smart informational and transactional services available in the new application.
Students in both public and private schools may view their profile, teachers list, class schedules, course marks, transportation information, next year transition and student option list. Parents may view profiles of their children, and related information to students through the application.
Employees may apply for leave, view attendance records, raise help desk tickets, view the status of pending requests and approve/reject pending requests where applicable.
ADEC will continue to develop these services while introducing extra services to help provide easy access and services to members of the public.
In order to access these services, users are required to log on using their Emirates ID for one time only. The authentication process will send the password to the users Email ID or mobile number based on the user’s choice.
