Teach UAE Magazine attended the latest Teachers’ Idea Forum, hosted by Focal Point Management Consultancy that was held on February 25, 2014 at the Multaqa Auditorium, UAE University Social Club. Here are a few things that you should know about the event!
- It is FREE. The idea to have a Teachers’ Idea Forum that facilitates an information sharing community of educators came from educators.
- The event is designed to engage educators and to improve their personal and professional development.
- All presenters work in UAE schools and present for 10 minutes on their favourite tried and proven idea for the UAE classroom.
- Persons who register for and attend the event receive a certificate that is recognized by ADEC as the equivalent of three (3) hours of professional development.
- Following the event an email is sent to all attendees with any video links, resources or worksheets that the presenters used.
- The event features ten (10) presenters, so you will leave with ten (10) new ideas.
- It is a great event for educators to network with each other.
- It is promoting good practice.
- Each forum has a good representation of private and public school educators as well as different curriculum schools (British, American, Indian and MOE).
- Sharing practical teaching ideas and resources makes life easier for educators.
